Need a great free blowout hairstyle?

If you want to master salon-quality blowouts at home, relax. Beauty bargainista has found the perfect solution.

For those beauties who need to duplicate the fresh-from-the-salon blowout for free, grab your blow dryer, a round brush and your best frizz-free product…and get to styling your gorgeous mane.

Step 1 -Boost your hairline.

With a wide-toothed comb, separate your strands of hair after towel drying. Add your favorite root thickener or thermal hairstyling product to raise your roots and add more volume to your hairline.

Step 2 -Dry your dome.

Place your hair dryer on a medium setting to prepare your hair for the perfect blowout hairstyle. Dry your hair for three minutes to remove excess water.

Step 3 -Start the blowout.

Divide your hair into four separate sections. Use small clips to keep the section from coming together. Begin blowing your hair dry using medium heat. Blow out the top portion of your hair last.

Step 4- Think in threes.

Use your medium-sized round brush to blowout a 3-inch section of hair. Hold the hair dryer at a 45-degree angle to smooth the hair shaft and produce shine. Aim your brush downward to reduce any frizz from developing.

Step 5 -Point your blow dryer downward.

Aim your blow dryer using an air nozzle downward over each section until the hair is 70to 95 percent dry.  Do not go over the section more than three times with your bristle brush to prevent breakage or damage.

Lock in a smooth texture using your cool shot button after the section is dry.

Step 6 -Roll. Roll. Roll each section of hair.

Once you have completed blow-drying a section of hair, use rollers or your finger to keep the hair dry. Apply large rollers to your scalp or apply clips to your finger-rolled hair.

Repeat and dry the next section until your hair is filled with rolled sections of hair.

Step 7 -End the blowout with a thorough brushing.

Let your hair set for five minutes before you remove the rollers or the clips. Take a flat paddle brush and smooth out the dry strands to complete your blowout hairstyle.

Step 8 -Smooth your blowout with a little  help from a flat iron.

If you hair requires additional straightening, use a flat iron or ceramic curling iron to smooth out flyaway hair. After your hair is completely dry, divide it into four medium sections. Start flat ironing hair an inch below the root using a vertical motion.

Add another quick blast of cool air again to set your perfect blowout.

More Perfect Blowout Tips:

  1. Use a large paddle brush at the end of a blowout hairstyle for smoothing and straightening your hair.  A small hairbrush will produce tight waves instead of loose curls.
  2. Use a round brush to create volume.
  3. Do not blowout your hair everyday. Frequent drying and straightening of the hair can result in breakage and damage.
  4. Prevent overdrying by applying a thermal styling product to your hair before using the blow dryer.
